With two decades of experience in treating infertility, I can offer a wealth of expertise and have seen first hand the benefits of incorporating acupuncture for fertility support.
I am an experienced fertility acupuncturist who has undertaken extensive training in how to treat infertility with Chinese Medicine. Via my advanced fertility acupuncture diploma I gained a comprehensive understanding of fertility in western medicine and use my in depth knowledge of medical testing, hormone cycles, reproductive immunology and much more to support you as you try to conceive.
I understand fertility-related conditions such as PCOS, adenomyosis and endometriosis – their effects on menstrual health and the emotional side effects of living with symptoms.
I continue my professional development in all areas of fertility and women’s health every year to ensure I am up to date with new and developing treatment strategies ensuring I am the best advocate and practitioner for my patients.

I am a member of an international group of advanced fertility support trained acupuncturists who have undertaken extensive professional development in understanding infertility from both a Western and Chinese medicine perspective.
I am trained in reproductive immunology and how it may affect you conceiving, how conditions such as PCOS, Adenomyosis and Endometriosis may be hampering your fertility and menstrual cycles. I have also trained in Western medical testing and how to interpret them.
I have a wealth of knowledge and expertise to draw on honed over the last two decades treating infertility. I will delve into your fertility and health, review any blood tests you have had (and, if necessary, recommend tests I believe may be beneficial), develop a treatment plan with you and offer any lifestyle advice needed.

There is much evidence to show the effectiveness of using to support natural fertility and reproductive health for both women and men.
How We Will Work Together
What Happens During My Treatment
During your consultation we will delve into what happens during your cycle and period, whether you are ovulating and when and what else you feel is affecting it.
I also take a thorough fertility and gynaecological history. Menstrual cycles and menstruation offer valuable insights into our overall health. Length and flow, together with the effects on the rest of our bodies (such as digestion, sleep, temperature and pain) all tell me what else might be going on in your body.
Your unique health history informs the treatment I give, optimising your menstrual cycle to conceive. It also enables me to advise on further medical testing if required.
After your initial appointment you will receive a detailed bespoke follow-up report including recommendations, treatment plan and suggested lifestyle advice that I believe will help you conceive.
I recommend 3-4 months of treatment for my fertility patients, either weekly or three times in a regular length cycle.
After your initial appointment and follow-up report, you can choose to continue your fertility support treatments in my multibed Community Acupuncture Clinic. This offers a more affordable approach that is often welcomed if, for example, you are also funding your IVF treatment.
Why Do I recommend this?
Research shows that acupuncture for fertility support is most effective when done consistently and I want you to have the best possible chance to conceive!
To optimise your fertility health, it can take up to four cycles of treatment to see the significant changes to your internal environment (metabolic, immunological and hormonal) needed.
It takes three cycles for an egg to be recruited, matured and ovulated by a dominant follicle, so working to change the environment means that the egg from then on will have been recruited and matured in a very different incubator, thus changing (and in my experience improving) the quality and the result.
